Chief Judge Frances Tydingco-Gatewood and U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael J. Bordallo from the District Court of Guam are pleased to share the below link as an online tool for teachers, parents and teens to utilize as a teaching and learning resource during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The above link includes two videos from the United States Courts video series on law related pillars of democracy called Court Shorts:
1. RULE OF LAW
2. SEPARATION OF POWERS
Teachers/parents can obtain discussion modules that go with the two educational videos in this link. You can request for the discussion modules from Ms. Stacy McDonald Flores, Community Outreach Director, District Court of Guam by emailing: stacy_mcdonald-flores@gup.uscourts.gov or via WhatsApp: 671-686-1332/671-864-2269.
Module discussions for teachers/parents will support each video in this link and work well for distance learning.
The District Court of Guam also recommends the following resources for distance learning produced by members of the Civics Renewal Network, the top nonpartisan, non-profit civic education organizations in the United States. These resources cover grades K-12 and offer a variety of activities to keep students engaged in learning outside the classroom.

Stay tuned to the District Court of Guam’s website and social media for other fun education outreach.
Please stay safe, stay home, and strive to learn all that you can!
