Jump for Justice Law Month Event

Posting Date:
Tuesday, May 1, 2018
In celebration of Law Month on Guam, the District Court of Guam, the Judiciary of Guam, and the Guam Bar Association will be hosting the first JUMP FOR JUSTICE event, an individual jump rope competition for elementary, middle, and high school students.

The JUMP FOR JUSTICE mission is to promote fun and healthy exercise that produces positive changes in the body and brain.  Jump roping targets many of the developmental skills that children need to be successful in school and in a healthy, active life, bilateral coordination, motor planning, eye-hand coordination, strength, and endurance.  By the end of the competition, students should feel healthier.

JUMP FOR JUSTICE will take place on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at the Agana Heights Mayor’s Office Community Center.  Check-in for participants will start at 10:00 a.m. and the event will begin at 10:30 a.m. All participants will be provided with a personal jump rope upon checking in.

Registration is required and can be completed online at https://goo.gl/forms/Mb9ef3sWLnUnczL83.  The registration deadline is Friday, May 18.  There will be cash prizes and other surprise awards and gifts for the winners, and an array of food, games, and pop-up vendors for all to enjoy.

We are cordially inviting each of your schools to select one representative jump roper from each elementary, middle, and high school under your jurisdiction.  They will compete in their respective categories.
