Chief Judge Tydingco-Gatewood presented the Cristobal C. Duenas Excellence Award to the Honorable Alex R. Munson at the court’s annual district conference on February 4, 2016, held at the Hilton Guam Resort & Spa.
Richard Parker Arens, a retired Assistant Federal Public Defender in Guam, was awarded the Cristobal C. Dueñas Excellence Award in a special ceremony held on December 13, 2012. The award is given in memory of Judge Cristobal Dueñas in recognition of service to the Court and to the District.
At the annual District Conference of the District Court of Guam held on Thursday, February 19, 2015, Chief Judge Tydingco-Gatewood presented the court’s Cristobal C. Duenas Excellence Award to local attorney Cynthia V. Ecube. Ecube is the fourth recipient of the prestigious award, and the first woman to receive the honor.

At the annual District Conference of the District Court of Guam to be held on August 28, 2014, Chief Judge Frances Tydingco-Gatewood and U.S. Magistrate Judge Joaquin V.E. Manibusan, Jr. presented the Cristobal C. Duenas Excellence Award to Mr. Howard Trapp.
